Last Friday was a special day, I became an Aerospace Engineer! I have finished my studies and have given my final thesis presentation at the Delft University of Technology. Many years of hard work and nice experiences. When you start the end looks far away, when you look back it looks so short. During my first year I did a lot of kayaking and went to World Championships in Australia. I started cycling in the second year and became 3rd on the National Championships on the track. In the third year I went to San Diego for the University Human Powered Submarine race. During the fourth year I joined the Cycling Team of Leontien van Moorsel. I lived 6 months of the fifth year in Maranello, Italy, to do my internship at Ferrari. Last year started with the BestGraduates game were I became 4th. Now I'm finished... Wow :-)

Tomorrow starts our trip to India! I have won this trip with the BestGraduates game. In the morning we leave Amsterdam for Bangelore. There we will visit 4 projects of the ING Vysya Foundation, the Sukrupa,the Christel House, Samarhanam Trust and the Akshara Foundation. ING Vysya Foundation aims at facilitating an enabling environment to promote education for children, living in difficult circumstances. After a few days we will travel south, to visit several national nature and wild life parks. Three weeks later we hope to arrive in Goa, from there we will fly to Delhi where we will visit the GIDF project. From Delhi we will fly to Mumbai, here we visit the Pratham and the SUPPORT projects. The flight home is planned on February 18th.

I will not be able to update my website during this period, but when I'm back I will let you know what happend in Incredible India! The movies that we will make can be found later on the ING website, after we are back.
