During my internship at Ferrari I subscribed for a game called BestGraduates, a game that is held every year and you can participate in the year that you will graduate. You had to sent your high school grades, your university grades and your cv. After an online assessment you could be invited for the next round.

The game is organized for 12 multinational companies (Shell, ING, KLM, Capgemini, Unilever, Philips, TNT, BCG, Ahold, The Government, KPMG and TNO). In this way they have the opportunity to select and meet high potentials.

During the second round, with 500 participants left, you could be invited for an interview with the 12 companies that are involved in this BestGraduates game . I got an invitation from ING and TNT! It really surprised me, because as you know, I'm an engineer and I didn't expect that companies like ING and TNT are interested in me!

The interviews and the capacity test went well and that brought me to the third round. Every company organized an in house day for 20 Best Graduates participants to show them their company, to let you meet their CEO and to challenge them in a workshop or case. After that day every company would select 1 person to enter the final. The final would thus have 12 persons, each selected by one of the 12 companies.

I was invited to the in house day of ING and TNT. Really inspiring days!

But then, yesterday I got a phone call! I was selected for the FINAL!! JOEHOEEE!! How exciting!! The final is at May 21st in the board room of the Rembrandttoren in Amsterdam. I have to prepare a case, come up with a strategy for a just started company and present this strategy that day. The day will bring more challenges to tackle and in the evening we will hear who is the winner.

Besides the great prizes that you can win it is a great experience! I can't wait! I will do the best I can and for sure I will enjoy this special day! In the mean while I will think of the right strategy during my bike training sessions...
